Myobrace^® and Myosa^® are dental appliance brands and treatment systems established by parent company, Myofunctional Research Co. (MRC). The company was originally founded in 1989 by Dr Chris Farrell, a local to the Gold Coast. Dr Farrell discovered that most orthodontic, TMJ (jaw joint) and airway problems were due to poor oral habits, such as mouth breathing, reverse swallowing, and incorrect tongue posture. As a result, he worked tirelessly to develop his own range of dental appliances and treatment systems that could address these underlying causes. His approach has revolutionised the treatment of orthodontic problems, breathing and TMJ disorders, and is now being used by dental and medical practitioners in over 100 countries worldwide.

The Myobrace^® and Myosa^® Centre, situated in Helensvale on the beautiful Gold Coast, provides patients and families with access to these modern treatment options, in an environment which is quite unique.

Rather than in a treatment room, patients spend most of their appointment learning and practising function exercises in the activities area. Custom artwork throughout the spacious centre create a motivating and engaging learning environment far from sterile, combining this with interactive touchscreens, patients are given the best opportunity to learn using our purpose-built educational programs to help them reach their genetic potential.
